Thanks for visiting my website! I’m a psychotherapist in private practice for over 30 years. I consider this work my calling. But mostly this website is about my dogs. Dogs are my passion! I also love to garden, and you’ll find some of that here, too.
I’ve had a lifelong love affair with dogs. I love them all! And I’ve lived with them most of my life. Right now, I live with two Golden Retrievers: Oliver and Henry. Utter chaos! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Dogs are magic! And the best beings on the planet. Period! I’m also the author of two books, both about my dogs.

CHARLIE: A LOVE STORY
About eleven years ago, I authored my first book, Charlie: A Love Story, another dog memoir, about another one of my Golden Retrievers. It emerged from a gardening journal I'd been keeping, but when Charlie began having some health problems, it quickly became mostly about him. It tells of the beautiful love between us, providing an intimate look at the bond between a canine and a human. Charlie was my loyal confidante and best friend. Charlie: A Love Story contains many implicit messages about how to live a good life, have a great relationship, and care for another being. But mostly it’s about an indomitable dog and our extraordinary relationship.
GARDENING
I also love gardening. Most of my free time is spent in the garden—landscaping, potting and planting, watering, pruning, raking, weeding, and more. Work in the garden is never finished. And that’s a good thing!
